The third installment in QD3’s “Beef” series chronicles some of hip-hop’s most gripping feuds. Unlike prior installments, this one centers mostly on beefs from the past two years. Featured here are 50 Cent vs. The Game, Nelly vs. Chingy, Lil’ Flip vs. T.I., Game vs. Yukmouth, Twista vs. Bone Thugs & Harmony, and 50 Cent vs. Bang ‘Em Smurf. While fans of the first two will no doubt urge out to lift this one up, they should be warned that this edition seems far more rushed and less detailed than its predecessors. Narrator DJ Kayslay who should be a perfect choice, given his moniker as the “Drama King” is far too energetic for his set. Most of the artists interested are relatively unique to the game and don’t really offer grand of the “outmoded advice” that veterans like KRS-One and Ice-T showcased in earlier installments. The closest thing to an “used school” perspective is an intoxicated and cliché-heavy speech from Jim Jones in the DVD’s “special features” piece. The segments spicy 50 Cent (versus Game, Bang ‘Em) have no comments from him or anyone on G-Unit other than radio clips and as such arrive off as one-sided, though the Bang ‘Em segment features an insightful explanation of their falling out from Smurf’s comrade, Domination. Aside from concluding footage of the “West Waft Peace Summit”, the program really doesn’t do grand to expose closure on any of these feuds and even the ones that are announced as being “squashed” collected feature less-than-kind post-match interviews from the participants. Given that they had access to such a groundbreaking event, it might have been wintry for them to have included such feuds as Snoop Dogg vs. Death Row and Daz vs. Kurupt. All in all, it’s a decent DVD but easily the weakest entry in the series.

Like the first reviewer said this one seems alot more rushed than the other 2. The T.I. VS Lil’ Flip fragment was probably the best one as it actually had both people’s sides of the account. The “50/ Bang Em’ Smurf ; Game” parts don’t prove 50’s side at all also the 50 VS Game piece is out-of-date since they said they had sqaushed it when they’re level-headed beefing now. And then there’s Lil’ Scrappy vs The Cops?!…. Arrive on that’s not even a beef. Twista VS Bone Thugs (they had beef? ) was kinda insensible. Although DJ Kay Extinguish is a blooming valid narrator I liked the other guy alot better. The extras are comely nice especailly footage from Game’s unfriendly performance at Summer Pickle.

This volume contains the next 12 episodes from the fresh TMNT series. The episodes included on this release happen to be the very best episodes of season 3. I am really enjoying these releases. Only 1 complaint. There is over 190 episodes to be released. If Lions Gate continue at this rate, it would choose about 15 volumes to complete the whole space.

Could they not release complete Season boxsets for this point to or the releases will unbiased go on forever?

I started watching DBZ when they first aired the dubbed, sever versions on YTV here in Canada. (96, or 97 I hold) I was crooked instantly. Let me inform you, it’s not a favorable thing to be addicted to DBZ during 11th grade when all your friends are too cold for cartoons. (Let alone now around ten years later) But what do they know?

…Anyways. Since they first released episodes on VHS, I’ve always been waiting for the complete sets. ”’Frieza”’ was the first saga that I ever saw, and is my personal common. It’s truly a pleasure to peer them again.

Anyone reading this probably knows the deal with FUNimation’s decisions with the novel three box sets. It’s no different here. The narrate is cropped on the top/bottom. You procure a tiny amount of portray on the side, so it’s not all negative. The recount looks substantial though, and thats what counts. Try watching this on a HDTV using a upscaling DVD player and you’ll come by my point. The colors are luminous, and the narrate sure. The last thing you’ll be thinking is “I really miss seeing the tip at the top of his hair.”

You accept all the episode’s uncut, with fresh Japanese audio (There’s english dub included though) All 33 episodes for thirty bucks. Thats a gargantuan deal. Thanks to FUNimation, we can retract the first 107 episodes uncut, for less then $100 bucks. That is very rare in the anime home video world.

Season 3 of Dragonballz features the whole Frieza Saga. Although I admire most of the DBZ Sagas, this is my celebrated saga out of all the others.

I remember I alway wanted to net this saga but it was 10 tapes or DVD’S and the cost was around $80-$100, and I could not afford that. But thanks to the original DBZ season sets I could score this for 30 bucks instead.

I’m going to pick this the first day it comes out.

This was the last season of The Flintstones. Up until The Simpsons, no other moving primetime TV display surpassed it in seasons. Here for the last time, Fred (Alan Reed) comes home from work, gathers Wilma, Pebbles (both by Jean Vanderpyl) and Dino (Mel Blanc) into the Flintmobile, later picking up Barney (Blanc), Betty (Gerry Johnson) and Bamm Bamm (Don Messick) from 1965 to 1966. Other characters include the Hopparoo (Messick), the crotchety Mr. Slate (John Stephenson) and a fresh character called the Colossal Gazoo (Harvey Korman) . Well-meaning but inept and a slight nuts, he was rescued by Fred and Barney and had to abet the “prehistoric dum-dums” as Gazoo often called them. This season has more guest voices than others including Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York (as Samantha and Darren in a crossover Bewitched episode), Jimmy O’Neill (”Howdy hi, there, shinrockers and wingading-dingers!”), Tony Curtis (as Stoney Curtis) and the Beau Brummels (as the Beau Brummel-stones) . If you seek Barney’s eyes perceive different, it’s because the pupils are murky. In previous seasons, Barney had flesh-colored pupils. Also, the swimming pool that Barney made in his backyard in the 1st season is attend in the episode featuring Dripper the seal, as is the piano Fred purchased for his wife on their anniversary in the 1st season in the episode where Wilma has a date with an frail flame, remarkable to Fred’s jealousy.

Episodes include Fred having a dream that Pebbles and Bamm Bamm have the gift of singing (even though they peaceful can’t talk) and have a grand hit with “Start Up Your Heart and Let the Sunshine In” (this was the closing theme for some of the episodes) and Fred and Barney are thrilled with their children’s success until they miss them being around, Wilma wins a contest and the prize is to meet pretty Stoney Curtis (Stoney even wins over the slightly jealous Fred when he generously offers Fred a role in his latest movie), Fred takes his family and the Rubbles to the local carnival and gets conned into buying it, Fred and Barney meet Gazoo and try explaining their cramped discovery to Wilma and Betty (their wives don’t grasp a word of it, but Pebbles and Bamm Bamm can inspect the space-aged genie), Fred has to wait on on a jury and must choose the fate of a tough defendant (Henry Corden) which could reach help to haunt him (subplot includes Barney buying Bamm Bamm a toy exclaim which gets frequently tripped over), Gazoo grants the Flintstones and the Rubbles a chance to recognize the 21st century, Mr. Slate “generously” loans Fred and the family his yacht on the condition that Fred paint it, and Gazoo grants Fred the chance to switch jobs with Mr. Slate for a day and Fred soon learns the brand his boss must pay for his stature, Wilma organizes a Bedrock production of Romeorock and Julietstone and Fred refuses to play the fragment of Romeorock (though he’s a shoo-in) . Other episodes include Fred buying a run-down house for his mother-in-law (Wilma thinks he’s having an affair), Wilma meets up with an pompous primitive flame after Fred ditches her for a bowling game, Fred has a minor accident and unwittingly invents a original dance called the Frantic (”Yabba-dabba-dy-yi-yi!” is his bellow of danger and he wins a gig on Shinrock), at the Water Buffalo Costume Party, Fred gets improper for one of the Way-Outs, an English singing group rumored to be status aliens (those psuedo-cockney accents are a yell as is their song “We’re gonna go device out- Design OUT!”), Fred reads a relative’s diary of war stories, at a company picnic, Fred acts unsuitable and has a dream he’s calm at the picnic 20 years later as an aged man, Barney is incorrect for royalty and is kidnapped by Arabs to be their prince (”Ola-salima!”) and in another episode, he’s unsuitable as a scientist and Stonefinger demands his latest “secret formula.”

Though there’d be movies (A Man Called Flintstone, I Yabba Dabba Do and the dubious live-action movie), Christmas specials (albiet with the unhurried Alan Reed’s replacement Henry Corden), spinoffs (Pebbles and Bamm Bamm and Fred and Barney) and a breakfast cereal which sells to this day, nothing beat the modern 6 seasons of the Flintstones. So bag this when it finally comes out on DVD, as to phrase Mr. Flintstone from a classic episode “This is the last you’ll study of the last of the [original] Flintstones!”

Today, we quite often mediate about how droll animation is from mammoth shows like Spongebob Squarepants, The Simpsons, and the lackluster cartoons like Loonatics, a kknockof to the Looney Tunes cast. Well, with those model examples, it is sometimes too darn easy to actually forget about how noteworthy animation from the past, and how great it had brought a staple into our lives. That is the case with The Flintstones. The Honeymooners knockoff has been one of the most notorious and influential shows in animation history. Sadly, it is a shame that people don’t indulge in them as grand. They’ve really shown a current revival on the DVD market, and their final shows perform them a closing raze to a special space in our hearts.

The Flintstones: The Complete Sixth Season is a peer into the final season of this grand inspiring classic. These episodes showcase some hilarious moments, as well as a introduction to The Titanic Gazoo, whom only Fred & Barney can recognize, nobody else. The shows here have all been restored well, and include some amusing episodes, and knockoffs like the episode where Fred tries to learn charm to go to a esteem party, but brings out a small too considerable of his ballet charm to his friends. The final season the prove brought made so many people laugh and yowl for so many generations. This is a big DVD for anybody who loves this spacious moving classic. I Yabba Dabba Doo recommend it.

If you’ve seen volume 1, then you know what it’s about. Five region travelers from Earth hurry the clutches of the Galra empire. They land on the planet Altea, and fight the Galra empire with five robot lions that combine to get GoLion!

In the middle of this volume, Prince Sincle and the witch Horneva terminate making giant beasts and begin making 1960s looking giant robots. The first robot actually injures GoLion. But then GoLion learns a recent fade and everything goes succor to the plan it was. Sometimes The Simpsons seem less episodic than this.

This volume also has the episode where the princess loses her top in the lake Don’t fret. They don’t present any girl parts, so the kids can level-headed survey it… as long as the kids don’t mind frogs with fangs biting men’s throats, images of children engulfed in flames, and a spa with a running stream of blood. And the Earth explodes. Everyone sleeps better after they’ve seen the Earth explode. It’s not horribly offensive stuff, but Japanese children must have been very emotionally balanced to handle such shadowy concepts at an early age.

GoLion is very episodic, the characters are very one-dimensional, and the animation hasn’t held up to well over the years. GoLion works, however, because it is simple. It’s a fantasy on a colossal scale with an exaggerated generous versus and even more exaggerated nefarious. The five lions that combine into a giant robot mild amaze even today.

So if you’ve seen it during the 80s as Voltron, or if you impartial like 80s Anime, you’ll indulge in. I mild wouldn’t recommend this to the average American viewer though.

Although having 18 episodes per disk is immense (compared to 4 or 5 for most other Anime) the lack of special features is a let down. No interviews? No construct sketches? Older Anime series have tiny appeal. I guess we’re lucky to gape this released at all.

World Events Productions, Ltd., along with Anime Works and Media Blasters, presents Collection 2 of Hundred Beast King Golion. The Golion team serves up more action and adventures with episodes 19-36. This has proven to be the most lackluster bunch of episodes of the entire series.

The only few highlight episodes were:

-Goodbye, Earth

-The Prince Imperial’s Sunless Love

-Phantom Spot Flowers

A lot of location holes are explained a lot better in Golion, especially when it comes to the strong, emotional tension between Prince Sincline of the Galra Empire and Princess Fala of Altea. I don’t want to spill the beans to anyone reading this review.

When it came to the anecdote, World Events narrative editor Marc Handler explained it better when he said:

“We tried to stick with 90% of the memoir if we can.”

….meaning, if the sage was too graphic to clarify, it was explained to lessen the impact of any unhappy event (i.e. deaths, suicides, etc.)

Plus, with this region, the Golion opener is a small shorter than the recent. Plus, I also noticed that, depending on the episode, the singer sings about a particular lion and its special weaponry within its bridge and chorus verses….usually, a recurring theme for some to most arresting shows.

My rating is the same as the previous reviewer’s. I also agree about their comments about having no special features included once again for Golion. How are you going to release a DVD box dwelling without any extra special features? ….(and I’m not talking about the other anime trailers) .

In conclusion, this box place is considered the mediocre bunch of episodes for the entire series.

The next release will be the third and final box situation, containing episodes 37-52. If you’re a apt Voltron fan, and if you have a grand memory about the stale Voltron episodes, then you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Bottom line is that you won’t be in the dusky about what’ll happen in the series. You’ll definitely won’t be disappointed either. The series will initiate a lot of Voltron fans’ eyes about what the proper deal Holyfield is (and was) about not only Voltron, but Golion as well.

Until then, perform your jyuokhen, defeat sinful head-on and delighted viewing.

Flame and the Arrow (1950) – This is an toothsome swashbuckling type of film spot in the 12th century. For some reason, when the local overlord stole Dardo’s (Lancaster’s) wife he does nothing, but when his son is taken from him he finally decides to buy action. This film is vital for two reasons – a. because it is fun and beefy of action b. because it revived Lancaster’s career after he had been type-cast for several years as less than quick-witted villains in film noir films. Lancaster purchased and produced this film himself, and as a result of it we got to behold him as Elmer Gantry and Sgt. Milton Warden later on.

Jim Thorpe – All American (1951) – This is a very wonderful biopic and the best film in the position, in my thought. Lancaster plays Thorpe, a Native American athlete who loses his Olympic gold medals when it is learned he played two seasons of minor league baseball prior to competing, thus violating his amateur site. This is a turning point in his life, and his marriage ends and he feels his dream of coaching as a career will never be. The film ends before the truly shadowy years in Thorpe’s life start, when he is truly broke.

South Sea Woman (1953) – Lancaster plays Marine Sergeant James O’Hearn who is being court martialed during World War II when he arrives in Pearl Harbor after the Japanese attack and has no excuse for his absence up to that point. He refuses to defend himself. A showgirl takes the stand in his defense and tells the court that O’Hearn is really unprejudiced standing up for a buddy of his, one who is really guilty of the outrageous behavior.

His Majesty O’Keefe (1954) – Probably the weakest film in the place, but peaceful above average. After a mutiny, ship captain O’Keefe (Lancaster) winds up on the island of Yap. There is a fortune to be made in cocoanut there, and meanwhile the local islanders have made O’Keefe their king based on a local tale and their unsuitable plan in who he represents. O’Keefe has two problems – the islanders don’t want to work at harvesting the cocoanut and the Germans already “gain the rights” to the cocoanut trade there. Nice dinky action film with a charming performance by Lancaster.

Executive Action (1973) – Made about the time of Watergate as people began to be distinguished less trustful of government, this is one of the first films to address the possibility that what the public was told about the Kennedy assassination might have been less than truthful. Worthy of what was in the film JFK is presented here, both rightly and wrongly, but the larger more complex conspiracy theory that was floated in JFK is not. That is probably because in 1973 people were unbiased beginning to reevaluate this whole grunt. At any rate, it is a very trustworthy film and worth revisiting.

I don’t have any information on extra features other than that they will be “Oscar-nominated vintage shorts, vintage featurettes and classic cartoons.” In other words, I am not expecting biographical material. One staunch ask I have is why is “The Twilight’s Last Radiant” not included? Warner Home Video has the rights to it, and it is better than any recount in this location. Considering Burt Lancaster did his best-known work at other studios, you’d reflect they would bother to include it in a Signature Collection of the actor’s better works. Thus I can only give this collection four stars. In fact, it is probably between 3.5 and 4 stars given the information I have and no knowledge if there will even be any commentary included on the films.

Burt Lancaster has to be one of the most underrated actors ever to accomplish movies. This is a superb collection. Executive Action (not worthy Lancaster in the movie) and The Flame and the Arrow are worth the label of the collection. All the movies are suited represent and sound. A loyal bargain at the trace.

This program is well done and very informative. It is definitely worth watching for anyone alive to in the peril in Rwanda. The interviews alone execute the program worthwhile.

My only complaint about this program is that it is unmistakably USA-centric. A critical focus of the program is the indecent role of the U.S. in opposing every meaningful proposal for timely intervention or help of the meager peace keeping force on the ground in Rwanda. Though all the attention given to this aspect of the Rwandan grief is worthwhile, there was no discussion of the responsibility of other Security Council members, especially France. The role of France is particularly deserving of analysis because of its stop relationship with the regime, its role as a military adviser to the regime, and the exhaust of its troops in Operation Turquoise to shelter the regime’s retreat to refugee camps outside Rwanda once the genocide had been completed. Yet the program hardly mentions France at all, collected unapologetic over its role in Rwanda. Similarly, the program skips over entirely the difficult questions surrounding the troubling lack of right leadership of the Catholic and Anglican Churches in what had nominally been the most Christian country in Africa. The feckless response of the UN leaders in Original York is not examined very closely, notwithstanding a few regretful, self-serving bromides from Kofi Anan, who was in charge of peace keeping missions at the time. There is not a single mention of UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, who helped suppress any effective UN response. If time did not permit examination of all these issues, then the coverage of the American response should have been reduced to allow more focus on Kigali, Original York, and Paris.

I recommend this program, but I also recommend that it be re-titled: “Ghosts of Rwanda: The American Perspective.” I also recommend “Bystanders to Genocide” in the September 2001 order of The Atlantic (the author was briefly interviewed in the program) and the narrate of Organization of African Unity, “Rwanda: The Preventable Genocide”, both of which are available on the Internet. There are also a number of qualified books on this tragedy.

While this documentary by Frontline covers a very principal stutter, and is done very well, I must warn you, it is absolutely heartbreaking to eye. It is 48 hours later following my viewing, and I am aloof sobbing. We said “Never Again” after the Holocaust, and yet, the world stood by while this most immoral of genocides took station. I believe it is principal for everyone to educate themselves about this tainted point in the world’s history, and on that basis, I would highly recommend this DVD. However, be careful,this video is not for the fainthearted or sensitive viewer. Meanwhile, another genocide is taking dwelling in the Darfur situation of Sudan, and again, the United States and the UN are turning a blind peer. Tragic.

Here’s the skinny: At the bottom of the press release for this single DVD, Lucasfilm clearly states a box plot for Season 1 (with extras) is in the works, including Blu Ray. I have to give them credit for at least telling us up front that this DVD is not intended for the people that will want the whole season. Although I am not distinct who the intended consumer is for this, I guess almost an hour and a half for $14 is enough to hold the puny ones mild in the relieve seat of the SUV and acquire it so you don’t have to disaster about losing a disc from your box status.

For telling me to wait a few months for a season box set: 5/5

The movie was mountainous, the series is equally as salubrious, and in case you missed it, It has been airing on Cartoon Network since November of last year (2008) .

I was going to dive in and select this, but once again the movie makers have decided to give you and I the usual “rip off”

Here are the first four episodes, that carry on magnificent distinguished exactly from where the movie finished, and acquire no mistake the stories, animation and acting (voices) are all safe, but I ask again, 4 Episodes???

My kids have seen at least 12 screened on TV at around 25 minutes per episode. Are you telling me that we need to lift 3 or 4 separate DVD’s to obtain a whole series already shown on TV? That’s a joke.

My advice, when it’s all veteran news (in a few months) a “complete collection” will arrive out, and I guarantee it will be cheaper. Vote with your wallets folks, close letting them rip us off.

I don’t know where that guys doing the Editorial Reviews are coming from, this movie is ample!

Steve Martin is stuffy ad executive Neil “I can purchase anything” Page and John Candy is the bungling but warm-hearted shower-curtain-ring guy (I know what you mean), Del “Extra location of fingers” Griffith. We follow this mismatched pair half method across the States and befriend again as they encounter one crisis after another. As the title says, our heros proceed whatever contrivance they can to acquire to Chicago- from planes to trains to cars.

One of the funniest scenes is when after Del gets his coat caught gradual the driver’s seat, panics and sends the car on a tailspin causing him to go the detestable scheme down the Interstate. The jokes don’t come by broken-down. This is probably my accepted comedy of all time. Hughes takes the traveling nightmare genre to a whole recent level. For those who don’t already know Planes, Trains and Automobiles is simple in its near. Everything that can go immoral does. It’s a amusing routine that can be droll, but here it is a journey to hysterical. The location is simple enough as well. Neal Page (Steve Martin) is on his device home for Thanksgiving. He’s your typical businessman that works in Unique York and has a family he wants to discover in Chicago. The only predicament is everything from delayed flights to ripped up car tickets happen on the diagram. Only worsening matters, Del Griffith (John Candy), is along for the scurry. An annoying shower curtain ring salesman, Neal can’t gain rid of him no matter how hard he tries.

John Candy gives the performance of his too short career as the traveling shower curtain ring salesman Del Griffith. What makes Candy’s performance so impressive is that while Del is an nasty, annoying slob, Candy shows that this is a very lonely, sweet, kind, and caring man with a mountainous heart. This is a man who is putting his needs gradual the needs of another person, a complete stranger in Neil Page. Candy creates an incredibly complex man, who the audience really gets to know and genuinely care about. They say comedies are the hardest films to come by nominated for Oscars, which is just. And while “PT & A” is no Best Report winner, it certainly in my mind has a performance not unbiased obedient of a nomination but of an Oscar as well. It would be sharp to gaze how Candy’s performance would be regarded if the film came out today.

The ending, whew!, it’s a rough one. And again, despite all the astonishing comedy in this film, whenever I believe of “PT & A” I consider of the astonishing character of Del Griffith and the remarkable ending. If you haven’t seen this movie, rent it. I strongly recommend it as a first rate comedy that doesn’t reach along often. Whether it’s the music capturing the perfect mood in the hilarious bedroom scene or meeting Owen, it’s an earnestly frantic and tender fling through the fresh transportation system.

This is another winner from the CLAMP team – who brought the anime nation astonishing titles such as Magic Knight Rayearth, XXXholic, Cardcaptors, Chobits, X, and many more. As soon as i found out Tsubasa was from CLAMP i knew it was another addicting series that was about to unfold.

Many anime fans will know Sakura from Cardcaptors and this is another series that deals with this character.

During a ritual of some kind Sakura accidentally loses the shards to her heart that are now scattered through time. So her semi-boyfriend Syaoran must move through time & site to recover them.

This sends the duo on many battles through time, which kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z in that they are trying to retrieve something. This is a really immense series and unfortunately only lasted about two seasons. I contemplate this box region is heavily over-priced but definitely worth picking up when it’s on sale.

Here’s another sci-fi/fantasy anime that is both greatly enchanting and provocative. The series short story-plot is that a young princess by the name of Sakura is magically attacked by a mysterious villain who wants her new powers and as a cause of the attack her memories which or physically feather like are scattered across different dimensions, and so her lifelong friend and romantic interest a young man named Syaoran vows to retrieve her memories and with that build her life since if she doesn’t accumulate all her memories. So Syaoran meets with a witch who agrees to aid him reclaim the princesses memories but the cost of her benefit is that the bond between Syaoran and Sakura will be broken meaning after Sakura regains all her memories she will have no memory of Syaoran and her feelings she had for him before. Along the quest through different dimensions you have two other characters both with their possess reasons and agendas of why they are on this quest, one is Kurogane a vast but arrogant warrior who is banished by the very princess he protected because of his pride and than you have Fay D. Flourite another mysterious wizard who’s running from some predicament or other. The animation is very certain and entertaining and if you’ve seen the animes Noir or Hack/Sign you’ll stare the animation is for the most portion similar, also the audio jabber cast both Japanese/English did big for this series and the music track was astounding since it was the same person who did the music for Noir, Madlax, and Hack/Sign. The only quandary I have again is with the box situation, The station is a two thinpack dvd cases which possess two dvds each and establish into a paper sleeve I wish that Funimation would at least beget the dvd case sleeve out of cardboard or acquire it a exiguous tougher so it won’t lunge so easily. The extras are radiant decent you come by the usual trailers, commentaries, cast auditions, and the textless intro/ending songs.
